Cheng Xu, a senior intellectual property engineer, is the Deputy Director of the Research and Development Department of Intellectual Property Publishing House Co., Ltd. (IPPH). CHENG is entitled as one of the High-level Professionals and the first batch of Patent Information Tutorial Professionals recognized by CNIPA. He has presided over the research and development of multiple patent information application systems such as patent retrieval, patent analysis, patent evaluation, and patent early warning systems, and took the lead to build a full life-cycle product system covering 5 major series and more than 30 products of IPPH. As the first author or co-author, he has participated in 11 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, published 9 papers, and filed 10 invention patent applications, for 4 of which the patent rights have been granted. He has extensive experience in data processing, knowledge mining, big data applications, and intellectual property finance. He has hosted dozens of professional training sessions for local IP offices, enterprises, universities, etc.
