Dr. He Xiaoping is the associate vice president, associate general patent counsel, and head of intellectual property in Asia Pacific, Eli Lilly and Company. Dr. He has been engaged in intellectual property work around pharmaceutical innovations for 19 years. Before joining Eli Lilly and Company, Dr. He was the responsible manager of global IP affairs for many bio-product projects at the Tokyo headquarters of Astellas Pharma Inc. Dr. He earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine and master’s degree in pharmacology in China. After this, she earned her Ph.D. in biology in Japan and then conducted postdoctoral research at UCSF School of Medicine. She is fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese.
