Dong Tao is a professor of law at Beijing International Studies University, holding a doctor’s degreeinlaws. He is a member of the councils of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Chinese Association of Science and S&T Policy Research, the China Soft Science Research Association, and the China Intellectual Property Society. He serves asthe executive directors of the Film and Television Entertainment Law Research Association of the Beijing Law Society and the Beijing Tourism Law Society. In addition, he is a member of the Intellectual Property Law Research Association of the China Law Society.He played a part in drafting the Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy and the National Patent Strategy, as well as the amendment to the Patent Law and the formulation of intellectual property laws.He presided over 3 national-level projects, dozens of provincial and ministerial-level projects, and published many monographs, including two translation works.More than 50 of hisarticlescan be found in journals and newspapers such asthe China Legal Science, the Management World, the Renmin Ribao, and the Guangming Daily, and were reprinted in full by theXinhua Wenzhaiand the Book and News Center of Renmin University of China. His representative monographs include thePatent Claims, the Research on Intellectual Property Securitization System, etc.
