Wang Lianfeng

Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Institute of Trademark Law at IP School, East China University of Political Science and Law

WANG Lianfeng, holding a doctor’s degree in legal science, is a professor at School of Intellectual Property, doctoral supervisor, and director of Trademark Law Institute, of East China University of Political Science and Law. She was a visiting scholar at Kent Law School in Chicago, USA, and a visiting scholar at Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Germany. WANG was enlisted in the National Intellectual Property Strategy Experts, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce’s Experts on Right Enforcement Overseas, and the Experts at China Enterprise Trademark Appraisal Center of CNIPA. She also takes the position as a member of the council of the Intellectual Property Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, concurrently as a researcher at intellectual property institutions of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Fudan University. She served as the executive director of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association and the deputy to the People’s Congress of Changning District, Shanghai. WANG has long been engaged in the research and teaching of the trademark law, the commercial sign law, and the intellectual property law. WANG has presided over more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial projects and commissioned projects in collaboration with enterprises, such as the major projects, sub-projects and key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, as well as those funded by the Ministry of Justice and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Fund. She was appointed to argue for some subjects in the fourth amendment to the Trademark Law, and she focused on theoretical and practical issues such as the trademark law, corporate trademark strategy and branding, the use of intellectual property assets, and dispute resolution. She has been invited to seminars on difficult intellectual property cases processed by courts in Shanghai, Guangdong and other places.
